Savoury Oatmeal Bowl

Ingredients 1/2 cup grain of your choice (teff, quinoa, oats etc.) 1 cup water Example of toppings Dukkah Avocado, cubed Tomato, chopped Capscium, chopped Scallions, sliced Poached egg Lemon juice Salt and pepper Spices of your choice

Method 1. Cook your grain by adding the grain and water to a saucepan, bringing it to the boil, reducing to a simmer and cooking until all the liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally. 2. If adding salt and pepper, spices or lemon juice, add this to the saucepan while cooking. 3. Once cooked through, remove from the heat and let it sit, covered, for five minutes. Cooking times will vary depending on the grain being used. 4. Once cooked, spoon the grains into a bowl and add any toppings you desire. Some of our favs are listed above. Be generous. 5. Serve. Eat. Enjoy.
